This platform is not my spot for that. I developed a writing zone on Substack specifically for the benefit of readers who want to step away from the toxicity of traditional social media.

—> The combox policy is because I physically don’t have it in me to moderate comments, and also because I need a handful of paid subscribers to fund my few writing expenses, so this is my thank you for that.

Don’t have paid-subscriber status? By all means say something on Notes and ping me there, or share the post that has you talking elsewhere on social media . . . I’m in favor of discussion.

Is this a Catholic thing?

Well, I am a Catholic thing, so if that gives you hives this might not be your spot. But I expect most of the readership here in this section will be mixed-audience, and it’s already mixed-audience over at the original evangelization-topics zone. I don’t believe in proselytizing, so don’t sweat that.

=> If you’ve accidentally subscribed to the evangelization-topics portion of the newsletter and don’t care for that content, check your subscription settings to fix that.

As far as the combox or pinging me elsewhere goes . . . I’m not at all bothered by people sharing their non-Catholic (or struggling-Catholic) spiritual lives. You’ve got a perfectly lovable soul, no need to pretend it’s not there.

<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" target="_blank"
