Open Combox - Prayer Requests, August 2023
It's that time. Comments are open for anyone who'd like to leave a prayer request.
One of the Margarets in the readership brought to my attention that it’s been a while we’ve done an open-combox prayer request thread. School year is starting up, which brings with it lots of changes and new or renewed efforts, and of course all the things you always need prayer for are still there.
Please take advantage of this opportunity to request prayers and let others know you are praying for them. The comments are open not just to all subscribers, but to anyone who cares to stop in and give or receive prayers. You don’t need to be Catholic to join in, so feel free to share this post with anyone who might have a need or desire to participate.
Additionally, reminders for subscribers at all levels:
If you are a subscriber, I pray for you by name (whatever your info shows up as in your subscription — some of you I know, some of you I don’t).
Although ordinarily the comments are only open to paid subscribers as a little thank-you perk for your support (or the support of whoever got you the gift subscription), all subscribers can reach me privately by replying to any One Soul at a Time e-mail in your inbox. I can’t commit to replying (though sometimes I do reply), but I do read all subscriber e-mails, I take your ideas to heart, and if you ask for prayers I will pray for your intentions.
If you’d like to subscribe or upgrade your subscription, here’s the button for that:
I am grateful to the handful of you who help out financially, it really does make a difference, and am equally grateful to everyone who reads, prays, and offers encouragement.
So. Into the combox. Some ideas for what to mention:
What is your vocation? You primary ministry right now?
What are some needs in your life, whether in your personal life, at work, in ministry, in your community, or among those you know and love?
Are there any very specific requests you’d like the prayer team to take to heart?
It’s okay to talk a little bit longer than you think you maybe you normally would.
God bless and I am praying for you!
